Terrier Group

The silhouette of the Scottish Terrier is one of the most recognizable in dogdom. The "Scottie" is a compact, short-legged, sturdily-built dog. Bright, dark, piercing eyes and a long head with beard and brows convey the breed's distinctive keen expression. The Scottish Terrier is a double coated breed with a hard, wiry outer coat and a soft dense under coat. This coat comes in many colors and shades including black, wheaten or brindle. Life is serious business to the Scottie, to be met with dignity, reserve and stout heart.
